The wedding rings selection

Wedding rings should embody your personality and style, symbolizing the love between you and your partner. Therefore, choosing them carefully is crucial as they will be with you for a lifetime. There are five key criteria to consider when creating the perfect wedding ring. During our first meeting at the studio, I will show you examples and assist in defining the ideal design that will bring both of you joy.

The Material

The first thing to decide when it comes to wedding rings is the material you want to wear.

  • Yellow gold: 14ct (585) or 18ct (750)

  • White gold: 14ct (585) or 18ct (750)

  • Palladium white gold: 14ct (585) or 18ct (750)

  • Rose gold: 14ct (585) or 18ct (750)

  • Red gold: 14ct (585) or 18ct (750)

  • Platinum

The Profile

After choosing the material for your ring, you should think about the shape. Do you prefer a rectangular profile or perhaps a more rounded one? Here are a few profile options:

  • flat profile

  • flat profile with rounded edges

  • D-shape profile

  • D-shape profile with walls

  • full court profile

The width & thickness

Depending on the shape of your finger, a thin ring or, on the contrary, a wider one may suit your hand better. Since all my wedding rings are handmade, you can choose the exact width you prefer.

  • The most common width for women: 2mm–5mm

  • The most common width for men: 3mm–6mm

The thickness of your ring will range between 1mm and 2.5mm. You might prefer to really feel the ring on your finger, or, on the contrary, to have such a thin ring that you hardly notice it.

Engraving

You can have your wedding rings engraved according to your preferences. I work with an engraver who specializes in handmade engraving. This method is deeper than laser engraving, ensuring that it remains visible for a longer time.

You have the following options for the engraving:

  • Your names

  • A date

  • A simple symbol

  • A small drawing (please note that the symbol must be suitable for a small size)
